Festival of Britain, South Bank Exhibition, South Bank, Lambeth, Greater London. The monumental relief work The Islanders by Siegfried Charoux, on display at the South Bank Exhibition of the Festival of Britain.
The original caption reads: " South Bank Exhibition, Festival of Britain 1951. River Walk: The monumental group in high relief " The Islanders" by Siegfried Charoux."
The monumental relief work was created in concrete. It depicted the figures of a man, woman and child, and was exhibited as part of the Sea and Ships pavilion. The monument was destroyed following the end of the Festival of Britain
