Prison warders BB94_13017
A group portrait of staff and warders at Nottingham Prison. The prison was built in 1889-91 for both male and female prisoners, hence the female warders in this photograph which was probably taken soon after it opened. The administration block and chapel, with its clock tower, can be seen behind the group. Unknown photographer 1891-1900
