Whiteladies Picture House NWC01_01_1530

ABC Cinema, Whiteladies Road, Clifton, City of Bristol. The corner entrance and tower of the ABC Cinema, formerly the Whiteladies Picture House, from the south.
The Whiteladies Picture House opened in 1921. The building incorporates an earlier terraced house, and formerly also included a ballroom and restaurant which were later converted into a public house and offices. The cinema was renamed the ABC, Cannon, and then MGM Cinema, before reverting to the ABC name in the 1990s. The cinema was briefly used as a gym in the early 21st century, before reopening as the Everyman Cinema in 2016
