Great Western Memorial BB48_01157
Great Western Railway War Memorial, Paddington Station, Praed Street, Greater London. The memorial on Platform One was originally erected to commemorate the men and women of the Great Western Railway who lost their lives in the First World War. In 1948 the memorial was rededicated to also include those employees of the company who lost their lives during the Second World War. This photograph appears to have been taken just before the official rededication took place, as the revised dedication inscription does not appear
