Walcott, Norfolk. On the night of 31 January 1953 a combination of a high spring tide and a severe European windstorm caused a storm tide. The area suffered greatly and much of the village was lost to the sea.
In the aftermath, the effects of coastal erosion are apparent all along the beach, where an unnamed vessel has been grounded
