Mermaid Inn, Gosford Street, Coventry. The premises of Eavess at 110 Gosford Street, adjacent to the Mermaid Inn showing bomb damage. Coventry City centre was devastated by air raids on 14th November 1940. The bombing raids left the nearby cathedral in ruins and destroyed much of the historic fabric of the city
