St Annes School Deritend a42_00472
St Annes School, Alcester Street, Deritend, Digbeth, Birmingham. An old man seated outside St Annes School, Alcester Street. The headmasters log records that the adjacent Saint Annes Church reopened on 31st August 1941 upon completion of repairs due to bomb damage. This view shows the school with windows boarded, probably as a result of air raids. The building was demolished after the war and a new school was built in Lowe Street. St Annes Parish Centre now occupies the site
