Town Hall and Central Library, Manchester. An aerial view of Manchester Town Hall, a triangular building with a tall clock tower, which was built in 1868 to the designs of Alfred Waterhouse. Adjoining it is an extension by Vincent Harris, which opened in 1938 with a circular central library. Photographed in March 2001
