RMS Aquitania BL26730_002
RMS AQUITANIA. Interior view towards the fireplace in the Palladium Lounge. The Aquitania was launched in 1913 as the third of the Cunard Line express ocean liners (after the Mauretania and Lusitania), and the last four-stack liner to be built. She could carry over 2000 passengers on Cunard's weekly transatlantic service. Photographed here by Bedford Lemere, in August 1923 probably during a stop-over and refit in Southampton

Show flat JLP01_08_066124
Darnhill, Heywood, Rochdale. The living and dining room in the Sectra show flat at Heywood.
This Sectra show flat was on the first floor of a 13-storey block and was completed 13 weeks after the first Sectra formwork unit had been lifted into position. The flat was one of 51 two-bedroom and 12 bed-sitting room flats contained in each block. The flat was furnished for the occasion with Brian Amos carrying out the decor. An article on the show flat describing it as the first Sectra flat to be opened was published in August 1963 in Laing's monthly newsletter Team Spirit'. The exact location of the site shown has not been recorded in the negative register but it is believed to be the Darnhill Estate
