Clifton Suspension Bridge, Clifton, Bristol. View of the Clifton Suspension Bridge seen from the river bank below. It was designed in the 1830s and was originally intended entirely for horse-drawn carriages. It was completed in 1864 to designs by I K Brunel, and reused the links from Brunel's Hungerford Suspension Bridge in London which was demolished in 1861. Photographed by Eric de Mare in 1954
