MAIDENHEAD BRIDGE, Maidenhead, Berkshire. The north aspect of the bridge seen from the Buckinghamshire bank, with a small party of girls walking along the riverside path. The graceful bridge is built from Portland stone and was constructed in the 1770s, opening for traffic in 1777. Photographed in 1885 by Henry Taunt
