ST LAURENCEs CHURCH, Upton, Slough, Berkshire. Detail view of the restored north Norman doorway. The church dates from the Norman period but had fallen into disrepair by the early 19th century and was to be demolished until it was saved by a local farmer and restored by Ferrey in 1850-51.
