Swiss Cottage Odeon BB87_03613
Odeon Cinema, Swiss Cottage, Camden, London. Oscar Deutsch established the Odeon cinema chain in 1933, and Odeon became a registered trade mark. His cinemas followed a style, embracing the modern movement and Art Deco, and many were new builds designed by Harry Weedon. The Odeon in Swiss Cottage was opened in 1937, and is unusual in being of red brick. Photographed in 1937 by John Maltby
