Windmill, Crowfield, Suffolk a81_01171
WINDMILL, Crowfield, Suffolk. This smock mill was originally constructed as a drainage mill near Yarmouth, but was moved and converted to be used as a cereal mill in about 1840. In 1916 its cap was blown off and it continued with an engine until 1935. Photographed by Herbert Edward Sidney Simmons in June 1939
