Lancashire Hill, Stockport. A general view across a Laing construction site at Lancashire Hill, showing the excavation of the site prior to the erection of a 12M Jespersen scheme.
Laings Manchester Region had contracts to build 1200 homes for the County Borough of Stockport. At Lancashire Hill, they had previously built two 22-storey blocks of flats using Storiform, providing 198 homes, and the construction site shown in this photo was where six linked blocks of four to eight storeys were to be built using Laings 12M Jespersen system.
