Odeon Cinema NWC01_01_0691
Odeon Cinema, Church Street, Preston, Lancashire. A cinema first existed on the site in 1928, but the site was extended and made more elaborate by the architect William Trent. This cinema existed as the Gaumont from the 1930s to the 1960s. The building was subdivided in 1963 to include 2 screens and a dance hall. The complex was closed in 1992 and at the start of the 21st century, only the stalls section remained in use as a nightclub
