CHESTER CASTLE, Cheshire. Aerial view of Chester Castle. The forecourt complex at Chester Castle was entirely rebuilt between 1788 and 1822 by Thomas Harrison in the Neo-Classical style. A new prison was also constructed within the castle proper. Parts of the medieval castle survive including the Agricola Tower and the curtain walls. Photographed in 1920.
