Liverpool Pierhead 1964 EAW133857
PIER HEAD, Liverpool. Aerial photograph of the Princes Dock and Princes Landing Stage, with the Three Graces beyond in July 1964. This Landing Stage, adjoining Princes Parade, was used by the transatlantic liner service before it was scrapped in 1973. The adjoining Georges Landing Stage remains and is still used by the Mersey Ferry. Gerry & The Pacemakers had a hit with Ferry Cross the Mersey in 1964. Aerofilms Collection (see Links)
