WEST PIER, Brighton. First built in 1866 as Brightons second pier, to bring holidaymakers to Brighton by steamer. The pier head was extended and a pavilion added in 1893 and a concert hall was added in 1916. The superstructure was severely damaged by fire in 2003. Photographed on 17 April 1949. Printed using Dye-Sublimation and for best care we recommend a non-ammonia glass cleaner, water, or isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol to prevent harming the print surface. We recommend using a clean, lint-free cloth to wipe off the print. The ultra-hard surface is scratch-resistant, waterproof and weatherproof. Avoid direct sunlight exposure.
