VAUXHALL CROSS, ALBERT EMBANKMENT, VAUXHALL, LAMBETH, GREATER LONDON. A team of window fitters working on the installation of a stepped atrium on the northern side of Vauxhall Cross.
Vauxhall Cross, also known as the SIS or MI6 Building, was designed by the architect Terry Farrell and was built by Laing Management Contracting for Regalian Properties. It was sold to the government, becoming the headquarter offices for the British Secret Intelligence Service or MI6. Laing won the contract for the building in 1989, with ground works starting in 1990 and completion of the structure taking place in 1992. The building is clad with precast concrete panels and metal and glass curtain walling. It also has side atria and stepped atria roofs which are double-glazed and covered with tinted toughened glass
