The Round House, Main Street, Breedon On The Hill, Leicestershire. An 18th century circular Lock-Up. Before a national system of policing was set up many villages had their own lock-up where criminals could be temporarily held for a time. Photographed in around 1893 for the London Midland and Scottish Railway
