M6 Motorway, M6, Hyde Lea, Stafford, Staffordshire. A view of the construction of the Birmingham to Preston Motorway (M6), showing concreting in situ of the large post-tensioned beams on Bridge 306 (Barn Bank Lane bridge), with a crane lowering a concrete hopper to the team working on the bridge.
This road bridge, which is located at SJ, opened in March 1962. The photograph was published in September 1961 in Laings monthly newsletter Team Spirit
