Parliament Hill Fields Lido PLA01_10_006
Parliament Hill Fields Lido, Gordon House Road, Gospel Oak, Camden, Greater London. Looking along the edge of the busy pool at Parliament Hill Fields Lido, showing the stainless steel tank lining.
Parliament Hill Fields Lido opened in 1938 and was designed by Harry Arnold Rowbotham and T L Smithson. It was one of thirteen lidos built by London County Council between 1909 and 1939. The pool remained open until major refurbishment in 2004-2005. The stainless steel tank lining, which was installed at this time, was the first of its kind to be fitted to an outdoor pool in Britain
