Detail of a sculpted hoodmould stop on the north aisle wall of St John's Minster Church, showing a minstrel playing two small drums with batons. The sculpture shows a male minstrel wearing a chaperon and playing two small drums, resembling kettle drums, which are positioned below his torso.Below the sculpture is a partial view of a capital with carvings of large leaves and acorns, and on either side a partial view of the trefoil inner arches of the blank arcade. The scuplture is situated on the north wall, in the third bay from the north door in the aisle
