Barnhurst Farm, Pendeford, City of Wolverhampton. Barnhurst Farm seen from the west, framed by gate piers. In 1867 Wolverhampton Corporation purchased the Banhurst estate and built a sewerage farm on some of land. The farmhouse shown here survived until 1963 when it was demolished to make way for a housing estate. The 17th century dovecote was saved and gave its name to the surrounding housing development
