APSLEY HOUSE, Piccadilly, Hyde Park Corner, London. " Apsley House and the Entrance to Hyde Park" by T H Shepherd. engraving dated 1850. Originally built by Robert Adam in 1771-8, by 1830 Apsley house had been enlarged and remodelled by Benjamin Dean Wyatt to be the Duke of Wellingtons main London residence.
