Palace Pier, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex. Holidaymakers enjoying the summer sun while a band plays on the bandstand. The pier was completed in 1891. It was demolished in 1951 after damage from rough weather. Photographed in August 1919 by Henry Bedford Lemere
