SKEGNESS, EAST LINDSEY, LINCOLNSHIRE. A row of people playing a roll a ball game in an amusement arcade during a Laing staff trip to Skegness.
In 1947, after a seven year break, Laing had resurrected their Area Outings for staff and their families, with trips taking place in May and June. In 1954, there were seven outings planned to take place over five weeks in May and June. This trip to Skegness was for employees and their families from the Midlands and South Yorkshire. A cropped version of this photograph was published in the July 1954 edition of Team Spirit, the Laing employee newsletter

In 1947, after a seven year break, Laing had resurrected their Area Outings for staff and their families, with trips taking place in May and June. Twelve outings were arranged to take place in the early summer of 1956. This outing was for Laing employees from the eastern counties of England, including Kings Lynn, Thurleigh, Welwyn, Hatfield, Stanstead, Waltham Abbey, Chelmsford, Stevenage, and Harlow. A similar photograph was published in the July 1956 edition of Team Spirit, the Laing employee newsletter
