British Embassy, 70 Wilhelmstrasse, Berlin. The Palais Strousberg, designed by Augustus Orth, dated from 1867-8. The British government purchased it as an Embassy in 1884. Ante-room and doorway into the drawing room, photographed in 1939 before the outbreak of war. The building was demolished in 1950
