Eldon Square extension JLP01_10_28898
Eldon Square Shopping Centre, Newgate Street, Newcastle upon Tyne. The shop unit built to bridge Blakett Street and connect the extension to the original Eldon Square shopping centre in Newcastle.
Laing won the £ 5.2m contract to extend the shopping centre in March 1986 for completion in October 1987, a second in January 1987 to build the retail unit that bridges Blackett Street and connects the old with the new development and a third in May 1987 for improvements and upgrading across the whole Eldon Square site.
This photograph featured in the January 1988 edition of Team Spirit, the Laing company newsletter, with the caption Hennes. The building houses a retail unit for H&M, Hennes & Mauritz

10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
