Pargetting, Suffolk a98_12764
Clare, Suffolk. The Ancient House, High Street, was built as a priests house and dated 1473. This exterior view of the gable facing the churchyard shows a fine example of pargetting (decorative plaster work) which was an East Anglian tradition. Photographed by Hallam Ashley in April 1958
