Audley End House DD58_00084
AUDLEY END HOUSE AND GARDENS, Saffron Walden, Essex. The house was built for Thomas Howard, first Earl of Suffolk and Lord Treasurer to James I, between 1605 and 1614. The original house was built around two courtyards and has been greatly reduced in size over the years in order to make it more manageable. Photograph by Bedford Lemere 1891
