Shadbolt recorded this image as Photograph of Paris Exhibition with Eiffel Tower taken from captive balloon, dated to the final day of the Exposition Universelle - 6 November 1889. The Eiffel Tower had been completed in March 1889 as the centrepiece of the Exposition. From the Cecil Victor Shadbolt collection of lantern slides dating from 1882-1892
