The Old House UXC01_01_01_0069_23
The Old House, St Peter's Street, Hereford. View of the side elevation of The Old House on St Peter's Street, a timber-framed building built c1621, formerly used as a shop and residence, and now a museum, showing the junction between St Peter's Street, High Town and Commercial Street.
The building is timber-framed with plaster infill, three storeys with attic and basement. The side elevation in the image has a pentice roof that wraps around the house over the ground floor, covering the large window and door to the right, which is currently used as the museum entrance. Above is a single large bay window, and on the second floor, a smaller bay window, all with own roofing, underneath the gable. The house is on St Peter's Street, just away from a junction that connects the north end of the street with High Town and Commercial Street, which can be seen in the background, with cars and pedestrians
