APSLEY HOUSE, Piccadilly, Hyde Park Corner, London. " Apsley House". Line coloured engraving dated 1850. Originally built by Robert Adam in 1771-8, by 1830 Apsley house had been enlarged and remodelled by Benjamin Dean Wyatt to be the Duke of Wellingtons main London residence. The adjacent Hyde Park Screen was built between 1822-25 by Decimus Burton. MAYSON BEETON COLLECTION
