Hospital laundry JLP01_08_069259
West Cumberland Hospital, Homewood Road, Homewood, Whitehaven, Copeland, Cumbria. Workers washing and pressing bed linen in the laundry at West Cumberland Hospital.
Built during the first phase of construction at the site along with the boiler house and workshops, the laundry could handle 45, 000 articles a week and serviced a number of hospitals in the region. This photograph appeared in the December 1964 issue of Team Spirit, the Laing company newsletter

12"x10" Modern Frame
10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
