STAFFORDSHIRE. A view of the construction of a structure, probably on Section B of the Birmingham to Preston Motorway (M6), showing an engine on a narrow gauge railway, a crane and a team of workers carrying out various tasks.
In the registers for the collection, the subject of the photograph has been recorded as Site Repair Services B.1. M6. The work on the Birmingham to Preston Motorway (M6), between junctions J13 to J16 started in June 1960 and was carried out by John Laing Construction Ltd. Section B was 6 1/2 miles in length between Whitgreave and Beech

10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch.
