Central Public Library, St Peters Square, Manchester. The upper dome ring being hoisted into position during the construction of the Central Public Library.
The Central Public Library was designed by E Vincent Harris. The steel frames were manufactured by Banister, Walton and Co Ltd.
The image also shows a temporary erection tower (with posters attached), and workmen climbing an adjoining ladder. The time of the photograph, shown on the Town Hall clock in the background, is 1.35pm. The upper dome ring is shown halfway to its position

12"x10" Modern Frame
10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
