POST BRIDGE, Dartmoor, Devon. Clapper bridges are unique to Dartmoor and Exmoor. This view shows the River East Dart flowing underneath Post Bridge. Possibly built in medieval times, it consists of four granite slabs supported on three granite piers. Photographed by Eric de Mare (active 1945-80)
