ROYAL PAVILION, Brighton, East Sussex. A view of the Royal Pavilion, Brighton, showing domes. The Royal Pavilion was created for the Prince of Wales (later George IV) in 1815-22 by John Nash. Nash modified an earlier house, combining exotic styles of decoration including Indian and Chinese. The rooftop domes and pinnacles are Indian in inspiration.
