Children aged 4-7 years were invited to a Christmas party, while children aged 8-15 years were taken to see Sleeping Beauty on Ice at Wembley. The party for 170 children was held in the new restaurant area of Laings Mill Hill offices. The children played games, enjoyed a tea, sang carols, watched cartoons and were entertained by Uncle Fred, a childrens entertainer and ventriloquist. The party ended with Father Christmas distributing presents
