British Salt Factory, Faulkner Lane, Middlewich, Cheshire East. A view from across the Trent & Mersey Canal of the main processing building at the British Salt factory.
Work began on site on the 16th of April 1968 and was completed in early June 1969 with the factory officially opened by the Duke of Edinburgh on the 25th. Laing returned to the site in 1971 to construct an extension to the undried vacuum salt building
