Burton, Alfred Gelder Street, Kingston upon Hull, South Yorkshire. The Burton store at 68 Alfred Gelder Street and 34-35 Whitefriargate, seen from the west showing the impressive black granite facade and gold metalwork details.
Burton opened a store on the site in 1931; the store shown in this photograph opened in 1935. The building is considered to be an important and unusual example of Burton in-house architectural design. Granite facades featured on around 15 Burton stores, with the granite for the Hull store being supplied by Fenning & Co of Hammersmith

12"x10" Modern Frame
10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
